Hudson is a small town that punches way above its weight. If you have a free morning or afternoon, walk Warren Street end to end and you'll understand why we're getting married here.

How to get there

Plane

JFK, EWR, ALB

  • JFK Airport (JFK) has the most direct flight options.
  • Newark Airport (EWR) is often a bit cheaper than JFK and just as easy.
  • Albany Airport (ALB) is only 45 minutes from Hudson, great if you can find a direct or easy connection. You skip all the New York City traffic and go straight to the good part.

Train

Amtrak North

From NYC, get yourself to Penn Station in Manhattan, then catch the Amtrak North to Hudson Station . It’s about two hours and trains run several times a day. You’ll step off the train and already be in town, it’s the most romantic way to arrive.

Automobile

Driving to Hudson

2 hours from JFK/EWR, 45 minutes from Albany. This is the most flexible option and nice for exploring the area over the weekend. Plus since it’s September, you can stop for farm stand peaches on the way up.

Getting around Hudson

The town itself is very walkable and most hotels, restaurants, and shops are along a single street.

A rental car is helpful but not essential if you're staying in town. Ubers exist but are not what you'd call reliable. If you need a ride, arrange it in advance rather than standing on Warren Street refreshing the app.

Important Shuttle Info

Saturday Shuttle Transportation

All guests must take the shuttle from Rivertown Lodge to the ceremony venue, there is no parking at the venue. Shuttles depart at 3:30pm. If you're not staying at Rivertown, plan to walk or drive to Rivertown Lodge beforehand (street parking available). Return shuttles run at 9pm, 10pm, and 11pm.
